sorry to disappoint but Mel does this every time the fire engine, police or ambulance passes buy. Lately even fire alarms. The video camera is always next to her.
To everyone here on the forum, Mel loves her couch. Even though the sirens comes from the window. We live on busy street. Either I won’t let her go to the couch (she will still cry if she hears it because the wall are too thin) or I leave her on her favorite spot and she is going to hear it even more. I actually try to disturb her with toys but nothing is actually helping. Actually one thing does. The neighbor’s dog. This scene is not intentional only informative.
Orrrrrrrrr. shes soooooooo cute! you do know the only reason she is doing that is because she hates the noise? in a way, its cruel, but they get over it.
I know I don’t like that too, Usually now I take her out of the window when the fire engine or ambulance passes through or just to talk to her to go over the noise.

Actually they don’t hate the noise. If you do some research on wolf packs, they howl to mark territory. They also howl to respond to other packs (e.g. stay out of this area.. this is ours). Dogs are no different.

Sounds like you have a serial arsonist on your street. Where I live we use an air raid siren to call the volunteer firefighters to work. My dogs used always howl at that. Now there’s just one. I don’t know if he still hears it.
